STacking Services

Don’t want to stack it yourself? We offer professional firewood stacking with your delivery.

Our stacking service is available for both seasoned and kiln-dried firewood, with a few requirements to keep deliveries safe and efficient.

Slots For the season are fully booked before the end of September. Its best to have us stack your firewood in the summer to ensure you have your wood when you need it.

Seasoned Firewood

Seasoned firewood can be stacked outdoors in an accessible location such as a firewood rack, woodshed, or other properly ventilated storage area.

We do not stack seasoned firewood inside garages, basements, or other enclosed structures.

Seasoned firewood can still contain residual moisture and naturally occurring insects, so we recommend storing it outdoors with good airflow.

Kiln-Dried Firewood

Kiln-dried firewood can be stacked outdoors or inside an accessible garage.

If you plan to store firewood in your garage, kiln-dried is the only firewood we will stack indoors.

20-Foot Stacking Limit

All stacking locations must be within 20 feet of the delivery truck.

The 20 feet is measured from where our truck can safely park and unload to the stacking location. Our stacking service does not include carrying firewood long distances across the property. We do not carry firewood up or down steps or over ledges of any height.

Examples that usually work:

  • Firewood racks alongside the driveway
  • Woodsheds close to the driveway
  • Stacks beside or behind an accessible garage
  • Inside an accessible garage for kiln-dried firewood

Locations involving stairs, steep grades, narrow pathways, difficult terrain, or other unusual access do not qualify for  stacking service.

Please do not underestimate or misrepresent the carrying distance or accessibility of your stacking location.

If the actual location does not match the information provided, exceeds the 20-foot limit, is blocked or unsafe, or the rack/storage area is unstable or unsuitable for stacking, MetroWest Firewood reserves the right to refuse or cancel the stacking service and/or delivery.

Preparing for Your Delivery

Before your delivery, please make sure:

  • The stacking location is clear and accessible.
  • There are no steps or ledges along the carrying path
  • Firewood racks are assembled, empty, stable, and reasonably level.
  • The path between the truck and stacking location is unobstructed.
  • The stacking location is accurately described when scheduling. Please make sure the stacking area is cleared and ready before we arrive. Firewood racks should be assembled and empty.

Stacking Payment

Stacking requires payment in advance or a deposit prior to scheduling.

This reserves the additional labor needed for your order. If our crew cannot complete the stacking because the location does not meet the requirements above or differs materially from what was described when scheduling, the stacking payment or deposit may be non-refundable.
